SAIR is a peer-reviewed open access journal of excavation reports and large-scale surveys conducted in Scotland. It was established by a consortium of heritage organisations including the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland and the Council for British Archaeology in 2000. It is published year-round by the Society.
